An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially minded and relationship-driven Key Account Manager to take ownership of a strategically important retail portfolio within the outdoor, trade, and recreational channel. This role plays a critical part in driving sales growth, brand visibility, and market expansion across leading national retailers including Snowy’s Outdoors, TJM, Total Tools, and Mitre 10.
Working closely with local and international stakeholders, you’ll shape customer strategy, execute commercial initiatives, and identify new opportunities beyond the existing core base. Duties
- Own and execute account strategies across key retail partners to deliver sustained growth
- Build and manage long-term customer relationships, ensuring strong engagement and retention
- Develop and implement joint business plans aligned to both customer and brand objectives
- Lead promotional planning, ranging discussions, and new product launch execution
- Identify new channel and customer opportunities beyond the traditional outdoor segment
- Collaborate with supply, marketing, and product teams to support forecasting and national planning
- Represent the brand at trade shows and industry events to strengthen market presence
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform commercial decision-making
- Provide accurate reporting and sales insights to influence strategic direction
- 3–5 years’ experience in B2B or retail account management roles
- Proven success managing consumer products into retail or trade-aligned customers
- Strong negotiation, communication, and commercial planning capability
- Ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and leading business reviews
- Tertiary qualifications in business, sales, marketing, or related discipline
- Willingness to travel nationally and hold a current driver’s licence
