The Role:
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving volume and market share growth for our client’s ANZ business through their Distribution Partner. This role includes developing and executing strategic key account plans, managing relationships with distributors, and acting as the key integrator for various business processes.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive a strategic key account plan with the Distributor, implementing our client’s brand and product portfolio to meet financial and market share objectives.
  • Build and manage the relationship with the Distributor, integrating product management, pricing/positioning, brand marketing, and demand forecasting and supply planning processes.
  • Influence the Distributor to ensure key objectives and metrics are met, securing a strategic competitive advantage.
  • Negotiate and renew commercial trading agreements and business terms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and attend semi-regular regional/global meetings to ensure alignment and execution of strategies.
  
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in business/commerce or related discipline (postgraduate degree preferred).
  • Experience in a comparable role with strategic accountability and a proven track record of success in a key sales position.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in growing sales with large key account customers/organisations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across all levels.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to use data and insights to assess situations and implement relevant solutions.
