About the role

Reporting to a highly accomplished General Counsel you will be a senior and valued member of the legal and commercial team.  Some of the activities you will play a lead role in are:
  • Commecial agreements including sponsorship, e-sports and NFT's
  • Negotiate, draft and settle wide range of legal documents including contracts, supplier agreements, brand licenses, merchandise agreement, manufacturing terms and conditions, trademark licenses, consultancy and agent’s agreements, credit applications, NDA’s and other commercial arrangements to safeguard the businesses’ interests, in conjunction with external legal advisers where necessary
  • Analyse and interpret legal documents
  • Participate in the preparation of legal reports, statements and contracts
  • Ensure all trademarks, patents and designs are protected and keep in good standing
  • Advise on and drafting of intellectual property licences
  • Trademarks portfolio management – manage external legal advisers co-ordination of filings, searches, renewals and registrations
  • Manage general intellectual property issues and co-ordinate intellectual property infringement claims
  • Ensure the business is in good standing and fulfils its obligations pursuant to the Corporations Law and other legislation regulating the conduct of corporations
  • Advise on retail specific issues, including ACCC, marketing, competition and promotion advice
  • Advise on legal aspects of Privacy, Whistle-blower and Data Notification scheme law as required
  • Provide employment law and work, health & safety advice
