The National Account Manager is accountable for driving negotiation and
achievement of the company’s Trade Partner Strategy plans in order to achieve
sales & profit budgets, and defined strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for account portfolio based on the overall ANZ strategic objectives in order to drive account and market share growth.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts in line with ANZ profit plan and ensure sales growth forecasts are achieved.
- Build and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with trade partners.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable plans.
- Effective Sell in and sell through of products with a strong focus on NPD and strategic imperatives.
- Serve as a consultant to trade partners including the Harvey Norman account to improve net sales through sales growth and improved product mix.
- Manage revenue, Direct Contribution Margin (DCM) by category, and Trade Partner Investment (TPI) by account across the assigned customer base. Creating accruals where necessary.
- Negotiating ranging, the in store “game plan” – plan to sell & merchandising programs, Balance of Floor (BOF) and Share of Voice (SOV), for execution by FSR team.
- Maximise the outcome of promotional plans by planning activity uniquely tailored to each account.
- Analyse & communicate key insights from Sales performance, POS data, market trends and competitive landscape to internal stakeholders.
- Manage national account training plans to maximise sell through
- Liaise with internal marketing, category and demand teams on activity, GTM and demand planning.
- Liaise with the field team to ensure in store execution excellence of national account activities, sell into Harvey Norman stores, steering committee relationships, optimise sell through, demonstrations and training plans.
- Bachelor of Business, related discipline or extensive sales experience
- Minimum 3-5 years proven national account experience
- Business acumen & superior negotiation skills
- Thought leadership, bringing insights to customers & staff
- Strong training, presentation & relationship management skills
- Friendly, engaging and positive personality and approach
- High level of self-motivation
