The Opportunity
As National Supply Chain Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end supply chain across imports, planning, warehousing, and distribution. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role where you’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver commercial supply outcomes and scalable systems. You’ll be supported by a capable team of leaders across planning, logistics, and warehouse operations.
With a decentralised warehouse model and a lean SKU profile, the focus is on forecast accuracy, planning rhythm, and building connected, high-performing teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute national Supply Chain Strategy across imports, planning, warehousing, and distribution.
- Lead a decentralised warehouse/DC network with a focus on stock accuracy, safety and DIFOT.
- Champion S&OP maturity – improving demand/supply alignment, forecast accuracy, and accountability.
- Partner closely with the Executive team and Board to support broader business planning.
- Guide supply chain budgets (freight, warehousing) and manage working capital.
- Own systems optimisation across ERP, Netstock, Phocas and freight platforms
- Drive continuous improvement across planning, inventory, warehouse SOPs and cost levers.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across planning, inventory and operations.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, safety and participation in enterprise risk management.
Must-Have Experience
- Proven end-to-end supply chain leadership in FMCG, retail or trade industries.
- Deep experience across imports, freight forwarding, planning, warehousing and distribution.
- Strong grasp of warehouse/DC operations and decentralised networks, with experience uplifting capability, especially WMS
- Confident working at both strategic and operational levels.
- Demonstrated people leadership – from executive peers to frontline staff.
- Commercial mindset with ability to influence across functions.
- Customer exposure: Bunnings or similar retail/DIY customers.
- Seasonal or project-based planning experience.
- Working knowledge of inventory, working capital, and DC footprint strategy.
- Growth leadership – someone who could be a future COO.
