About the Role
Reporting to the VP Operations and Supply Chain, you’ll lead a team responsible for all modes of transport across Northern operations. This includes driving day to day logistics execution, supplier management, and compliance, while also leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Northern logistics team, setting goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Oversee international and domestic freight, including deep ocean export logistics.
- Monitor, report, and optimise logistics service provider performance.
- Ensure full compliance with import/export protocols, DAWR legislation, and freight regulations.
- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and freight rate schedules.
- Develop contingency plans to minimise operational disruptions and maintain assured supply.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers.
About You
We’re looking for a senior logistics leader who is hands-on, commercially minded, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You’ll have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, lead teams to deliver results, and drive change across both operational and strategic initiatives.
You will have:
- 8+ years’ experience in logistics, with strong export and deep ocean freight knowledge.
- Proven leadership experience, including building and coaching high-performing teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset and ability to implement practical solutions.
