The Role

Given their recent growth trajectory, the business are looking to bring their payroll in-house for the first time, which would see you reporting into the Financial Controller and working closely with their Financial Accountant + outsourced service provider to build internal processes and begin to run payroll in a standalone role with scope for growth within the role to occur long term, in line with businesses growth.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance while delivering excellent service to employees and stakeholders. Your key duties will include:

• Processing fortnightly & monthly payroll globally for 150 employees.
• Prepare overseas payroll and liaise with outsourced provider ADP across the US, Europe, UK & Asia.
• Calculating and processing pay adjustments, new starter setups, and termination payments.
• Performing month-end payroll reconciliations and journal entries.
• Managing payroll tax, superannuation, deductions, workcover etc.
• Providing payroll-related data and reports to external parties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Hands-on experience in an end-to-end payroll processing role.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to self-review.
• Ability to stay up to date with relevant changes in payroll legislation. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Exposure to global payroll processing, liaising with an outsourced provider to do so, also advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience processing payroll within Xero would be advantageous but is not essential.
