Our client is a reputable organisation based in Melbourne CBD who is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support with data analysis and auditing for a large backpay project. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel skills who enjoys working with large amounts of data, problem-solving, and contributing to project-based environments.
About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will assist with payroll and HR data tasks for a large backpay project. You will also have an opportunity to work with SharePoint to improve efficiencies and implement changes in usage. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent attention to detail, careful data validation, and support for system clean-up and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with payroll processing including back-dated and manual data entry
- Support the annual salary review including back-pay and split pay run adjustments
- Review and validate staff work schedules to ensure payroll accuracy
- Review & organise large amounts of payroll data using excel.
- Extract reports and support reconciliations
- Assist with SharePoint clean-up – reviewing and structuring data into electronic files
- Provide general project support with payroll processes
- Previous experience working on large, data driven, payroll projects
- Confident using Excel at an intermediate level or above
- Very Strong attention to detail – methodical and accurate
- Experience using SharePoint will be highly regarded
- Must be immediately available and able to commit to the project duration of 4-6 months.
