Our client is an outstanding ASX listed business who is currently looking for a talented and experienced Chris 21 System Lead. This is a 10 month fixed term contract role offering an outstanding opportunity to implement change and improve processes.
Position description
Reporting directly to the Group Payroll & Systems Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Develop and configure new payroll elements, including allowance, deduction, superannuation codes, and leave groups to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain and update complex leave and termination rules in alignment with organizational policies and legislative requirements.
- Provide expert support to the payroll processing team, resolving Chris21 system and reporting queries efficiently.
- Monitor and resolve daily integration errors between Workday and Chris21, ensuring seamless data flow and minimal disruption.
- Manage Chris21 user access controls and respond to auditor queries, ensuring compliance with security and audit standards.
- Author and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll system processes.
- Deliver additional payroll system tasks as required, ensuring operational continuity and accuracy.
- Address and correct historical leave balance and rule inconsistencies as part of EBA project initiatives; review and validate leave terms across multiple EBAs and configure new leave groups with precise rules.
- Partner with key stakeholders to troubleshoot and eliminate recurring integration issues; contribute expert recommendations in project meetings and perform comprehensive Chris21 testing to ensure accuracy and stability.
The successful applicant will have
- Extensive knowledge of Chris21 or a combination of Chris21 & SAP essential
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in a large, complex organization.
- Substantial levels of comfort around interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements with complexity and ambiguity and how they apply in a shift-based workforce and providing advice on queries.
- Working knowledge of Australian employment and payroll legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and confidently with a diverse group including subject matter experts, managers and payroll staff to determine business requirements with a solution focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
- Adaptable, positive can-do attitude, aptitude to positively influence others.
- Ability to work in a team with focus on providing excellent customer service.
