This role will lead a specialist function focused on employee relations, complex case management and performance management, while also managing and developing a small team of People & Performance Specialists.

This opportunity would suit a senior HR or Employee Relations professional who enjoys navigating complex workplace matters, coaching leaders and influencing best practice people processes across a large operational workforce.
  
The Opportunity
Reporting to the People Manager – Shared Services, this role provides leadership across complex employee relations matters and ensures consistent, compliant and high-quality case management across the organisation.
You will partner closely with HR colleagues and operational leaders, providing expert guidance on complex workplace matters while developing the capability of both leaders and the broader People team.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee complex employee relations cases including performance management, conduct, grievances, investigations and terminations
  • Provide strategic direction and risk assessment on sensitive workplace matters
  • Lead and develop a small team of People & Performance Specialists
  • Coach and support leaders to effectively manage people and performance issues
  • Provide expert advice on Fair Work legislation, enterprise agreements and industrial instruments
  • Monitor ER metrics and trends to identify potential organisational risks
  • Work closely with People, Legal and operational teams to ensure procedural fairness and best practice processes
  
About You
You will bring strong technical expertise in employee relations and a collaborative approach to partnering with leaders.
Key requirements include:
  • Significant experience in Employee Relations, Workplace Relations or Senior HR roles
  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements and industrial frameworks
  • Experience working in unionised or complex operational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and sensitive people matters end-to-end
  • Experience leading, mentoring or developing HR / ER professionals
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to coach and influence leaders
