The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (the “Games”) will be the largest event in South-East Queensland’s history, with the potential to deliver transformational change to our region. As the name suggests, the Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (“Brisbane 2032”) is responsible for organising the Games. Some of Brisbane 2032’s operational responsibilities include: raising revenue through sponsorship, ticketing and the sale of Brisbane 2032 merchandise, sourcing the goods and services required to deliver the Games, managing the temporary overlay and operation of the venues and recruiting thousands of volunteers as well as many other elements that are essential in staging a world class global sporting event. About the Position

The Procurement Administrator will sit within the procurement function, but will provide administration support to the procurement, legal and finance functions across a range of procurement related activities.
Brisbane 2032 is in its startup phase with a small, but dedicated team of less than 20 staff. The right candidate should be able to work collaboratively with all levels within the organisation and bring a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:
  • Run request for quote processes including all stages from business requirements to contract execution, including all approvals.
  • Support the procurement team with the preparation of tender documentation, templates, processes and guidelines.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Manage the procurement inbox, including triage enquiries and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records and registers.
  • Manage internal stakeholders in a collaborative manner to achieve best organisational outcomes.
  • Support the legal team with administrative tasks, including correspondence and maintaining activity registers.
  • Support any supplier management, customer, or community engagement activities.
  • Support any policy, governance and system reviews or implementation activities.
  • Support any audits, reporting or review activities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:
  • Strong team player who is happy to work in small collegiate team that will scale to a large and complex team as the organisation grows
  • Practical experience running request for quote or low value tenders, and raising and managing purchase orders
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and quality driven
  • Able to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
