Our client is a well-established industrial building materials manufacturer with a strong presence across Australia. This site, based in Regional Queensland, is a modern, highly automated facility and plays a critical role within the broader network.
About the Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will be accountable for the performance of the production function, leading approximately 20 employees and 3 Team Leaders across multiple shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end leadership of a 24/5 process manufacturing operation
- Driving results across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Scrap and Energy
- Embedding lean manufacturing systems including standard work, tiered meetings, visual management and daily performance routines
- Developing production plans, workforce models and continuous improvement roadmaps
- Leading operational improvement initiatives and site-based project delivery
- Building a high-performance culture with strong engagement, accountability and technical capability
- Partnering with engineering, maintenance, quality and supply chain teams to ensure stable, predictable production outcomes
- Degree qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or similar relevant experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar Production leadership role within a process manufacturing environment.
- Proven exposure to Australian manufacturing operations, balancing strong technical and people leadership capability in an Austrlaian manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of process engineering, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading planning functions, improvement programs and operational projects.
- A visible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to influence across production, engineering and support functions.
This role gives you the opportunity to work within a highly automated manufacturing site with state of the art equipment.
The salary range for this role sits between $130K - $150K Base + Super.
