About the Role
This is a day-shift position overseeing end-to-end production on a key manufacturing line. You’ll be responsible for leading the daily operation, ensuring output, quality and safety standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement as the site grows.
It’s a hands-on supervisory role where your leadership on the floor, ability to troubleshoot, and drive for consistency will make a real impact.
Location: Western Suburbs, Melbourne
Shift: 5.00am - 2.00pm
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and mentor production staff during day shift operations
- Coordinate daily schedules, labour allocation and production run performance
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, quality and allergen-control procedures
- Ensure compliance with site WHS standards and drive a safe working culture
- Oversee documentation, batch records and reporting requirements
- Identify and support opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction
- Champion communication on the floor and foster a positive team environment
- Third level degree qualification - demonstrating capability, analytical thinking and a growth mindset
- Experience as a Production Supervisor or Senior Operator in FMCG, food, beverage, meat, or similar manufacturing
- Strong Continuous Improvement background - data driven decision making
- Strong people leadership - confident, approachable, and able to set clear expectations
- Hands-on mindset with a willingness to be out on the floor
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and food-safety systems
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing a busy, fast-paced operation
