This large and complex organisation is embarking on a significant business transformation program designed to uplift maturity across portfolio management, financial management, asset management, contract management, and information governance. With billions of dollars in projects delivered annually, the organisation is building fit-for-purpose project management practices, frameworks, and tools to support long-term service delivery.
As Program Support Officer, you will:
- Coordinate project planning and reporting across multiple workstreams, keeping schedules, trackers, and dashboards up to date.
- Maintain registers for risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, escalating where required.
- Provide governance and assurance support by preparing papers, tracking actions, and ensuring compliance with frameworks and standards.
- Support project documentation management, templates, and knowledge repositories.
- Assist with Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives, standups), capturing and following through on outputs.
- Collate evidence for reviews, audits, and health checks to support assurance activities.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to enable clear communication and effective partnerships.
- Experience providing coordination and support in project or PMO environments, including maintaining schedules, registers, and governance documentation.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic project environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
- Adaptability and resilience when working in complex or evolving environments.
- At least two years' experience in project or PMO support roles (experience within large, complex organisations highly regarded).
- Entry-level project management certifications (PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM Foundation, or equivalent).
- Certificate IV in Project Management Practice or Business.
- Training or experience with project coordination tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Planner, Jira).
