We are looking for a Project Engineer to join a chemical manufacturing leader. This is a critical role responsible for managing and delivering capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This isn't just about managing projects; it's about being the key driver of engineering excellence, shaping the future of manufacturing operations in the ANZ region.

What You'll Do
  • Project Management: Take full ownership of capital projects from start to finish—from design and scoping to installation and commissioning. You'll ensure every project is delivered on time, in full, and safely.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide expert engineering solutions to site leaders, assisting with enhancements and modifications that boost productivity, ensure regulatory compliance (including MHF and EPA), and manage production costs.
  • Safety and Compliance: Champion a safety-first mindset. You'll be responsible for managing critical engineering documentation (like P&IDs and electrical drawings) and supporting the implementation of systems to maintain MHF compliance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work across multiple engineering disciplines and manage project teams, building strong relationships and fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Keep a keen eye on the numbers. You will provide timely and accurate reports on project costs, schedules, and progress, quickly identifying and resolving any issues.

What You'll Bring
You are a proactive, hands-on, and highly organized engineer with a knack for problem-solving. You are not afraid to take calculated risks and have a proven ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Qualifications: You're a degree-qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical) with hands-on, site-based project delivery experience, ideally within the chemical or liquid process industries.
  • Skills: You have strong project management skills and are adept at managing multidisciplinary teams. Your communication and reporting skills are top-notch, allowing you to clearly articulate project status and technical solutions.
  • Mindset: You are a straight talker who communicates with honesty and respect. You are courageous in your convictions and committed to living a safety-first mindset. You demonstrate a sense of urgency and always keep your commitments.
