We’re supporting a major infrastructure project in Melbourne that requires an additional Safety Advisor on site. This is a great chance to be part of a landmark build that will shape Victoria’s future, while working in a high-performing HSE team.
The Role
Provide boots-on-ground support for site safety during civil earthworks, tunnelling, and station box works. You’ll work closely with Operations, Assurance, and field leadership to embed safe systems of work, ensure compliance, and foster a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain site safety practices, systems, and procedures
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments across high-risk activities
- Monitor and coach work crews on compliance and safe behaviours
- Investigate incidents and contribute to corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineers, tunnelling managers, and project leads to manage risk
- Keep accurate documentation and reporting aligned to project standards
- Experience as a Safety Advisor in civil construction, tunnelling, or high-risk infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and site-based safety practices
- Confident engaging with crews and contractors at all levels
- Ability to work 5.5 days per week (6:30am–4:30pm, 10-hour days)
- Package circa $140k TFR (perm)
- Immediate start also available – temp (3 months) with opportunity to transition to perm
- The project is based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
