About the Role 
As the quality & safety lead, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and build robust quality and safety systems that set new benchmarks across two manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will have full ownership over daily quality operations and proactive safety management, driving continuous improvement, compliance, and cultural change in food safety and occupational health & safety. Working hands-on, the supervisor will champion accurate documentation, QC testing, and non-conformance management while leading site audits, implementing GMP, HACCP, and safety policies, and facilitating Toolbox Talks and staff inductions.

This pivotal position enables an ambitious professional to oversee regulatory compliance, manage corrective actions, and spearhead safety and quality training initiatives, building best-practice frameworks tailored to the business. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing a direct report, the leader will influence quality and safety standards at every level, positioning themselves as a key leader shaping site culture and driving operational excellence as the business continues its growth journey.

Skills & Experience 
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related discipline.
  • Experience in quality and site safety within food manufacturing.
  • Proven experience with SQF audits, CFMSR, quality compliance, and OHS/WHS implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, organizational and project management skills.
  • Highly developed communication and training capabilities for both safety and quality topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and embed a safety-conscious and quality-first culture.
