A leading food manufacturing business in their field who are committed to high quality and innovative food products are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Food Scientist to join their dynamic team in regional Victoria.
About the Role
As a Senior Food Technologist, you will lead new product development initiatives, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, all while working in a fast-paced and hands-on production environment. This role requires a practical, solutions-focused professional who can manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
You will be responsible for taking projects from concept through to launch, developing and improving recipes to balance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. In addition, you will ensure all processes meet QA, HACCP, and food safety standards, while keeping abreast of industry trends to apply food science knowledge in solving problems and driving process optimisation. While we are ideally seeking an experienced Senior Food Technologist, we are also open to considering junior candidates with strong technical skills and the drive to deliver.
Skills & Experiences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Food Technologist in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Hands-on and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of food safety regulations, QA systems, and HACCP principles.
- Ability to combine technical detail with execution and delivery in a fast-paced environment.
