Reliability Test Engineer

12-24 month fixed term role.
Based in South East suburbs of Melbourne.
Candidate needs to be okay with coming into the office 3-4 days per week.

This person will join a Project Team that is responsible for the design; coordination; supervision and reporting of the Reliability Test Programs of products in accordance with the relevant engineering specifications and international standards.

You will illicit the Reliability Requirements and articulate into the Design Validation and Production Validation Specification.

It’s a unique opportunity to research, investigate and implement state-of-the-art Test Methods and Procedures relevant to our client’s products.
  
Responsibilities
  • Review Application Assessment relevant to the product application
  • Elicit Reliability Requirements for DV/PV Test Programs, develop and publish Test Specification.
  • Review the Scope of Work of the Experimental Order for DV/PV or Design Verification Programs. Provide quotation for the Scope of Work defined in the Experimental Order based on Work Packages
  • Provide requirements to the Test System Group for the DV/PV Test System relating to product specific requirements and user operation.
  • Prepare and develop comprehensive Test Cases and Tester software configurations based on product requirement
  • Participate in the commissioning of the DV/PV Test System. Ensure tester is executing tests acc. to test specification, e.g. conduct measurement analysis
  • Establish and maintain the timing plan for the DV/PV Test Program
  
Skills required:
  • Strong experience in product development engineering or reliability testing
  • Understanding of international testing standards and specifications (i.e. ISO/IEC, CISPR, DIN, JASO) is advantageous
  • Experience in reading Schematics or Electrical Wiring diagrams is advantageous
  • Understanding and demonstrating proficiency in Programming Languages (C#, C++, VBA etc.)
  • Knowledge of CAN, CANFD, XCP (or CCP) and UDS Protocol is advantageous
  • Knowledge of tool chain Labview, Vector CANoe and Vector CANape is advantageous
  • Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements is beneficial
  • Tertiary qualification in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or other applicable discipline leading to membership to the IEAUST
