About the role:
Are you a seasoned Senior Accountant seeking a challenging opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturing company, the company has gone through exponential growth in recent years and is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the finance team on permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the organization and play a key role in shaping our accounting processes.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in preparing financial statements for presentation to the board, management, stakeholders, and governing and statutory bodies.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for project managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Process month-end and ad-hoc general journals.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statement) and ensure compliance.
  • Handle payroll tax preparation.
  • Assist in FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) preparation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and upload them to the Finance system.
  • Update cash flow actuals on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in year-end procedures to ensure a smooth financial closing process.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations when required.
  • Support the Accounts Payable team in processing payments in the Finance system.
  • Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Undertake other duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems. 
  • System implementation experience is advantageous. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
