Due to exciting business transformation and growth plans, an exciting opportunity presents for an experienced Accounts Officer / Assistant Accountant to join the business among a close-knit team in Altona North.
Position Description
Reporting directly to the CFO and among a supportive close knit team environment, the role will encompass both Accounts Payable & Receivable duties including:
- Complete daily bank reconciliations
- Generate & manage the timely processing of invoices
- Complete supplier payment runs
- Generate monthly statements
- Receipt and allocate customer payments
- Follow up overdue / outstanding accounts
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of rebates including accruals and settlement
- Claims and rebates weekly reporting
- Analyse and investigate variances, and respond to enquires
- Preparation of key financial statements
- Work with finance team to identify and implement business process improvement
- Provide support to the finance team where required
Ideal Candidate
Will have proven experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as the following attributes:
- Excellent attitude with a keen desire to assist a close knit team
- Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong problem solving skills with a proactive forward thinking mindset
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with an ability to prioritise own work
- Prior experience in the manufacturing is highly advantageous
