The Role
Reporting to the GM of Supply Chain, this position is a key member of the Senior Finance Management team. This role assists with managing and developing the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Finance teams to succeed in their roles and deliver to business requirements. This position supports the team by providing trusted advice and insights to help drive strong business performance in the areas of efficiency improvement, direct and indirect cost management, working capital management, asset utilization, capital management and procurement opportunities.
  
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Utilising a deep understanding of financial and commercial drivers: provide advice on the business implications of cost, pricing and supply chain decision making
  • Provide meaningful financial insights and quality data analysis to Supply Chain, Human Resources, Finance and IT Directors to inform and influence business decisions and outcomes
  • Lead the Business Partner team to deliver insightful analysis and reporting of the organizations’ direct and indirect cost and efficiency drivers to provide specific insight into the key drivers of supply chain (including product cost, logistics), cost management, overhead recovery, working capital (specifically inventory control) and purchasing to support the business with informed decision making.
  • Leverage established KPIs, scorecards and reporting solutions to analyse and track operational performance.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance and Business Planning to ensure full P&L consolidation and review, participate in quarterly internal risk reviews and contribute to corporate reporting requirements
  • Partner with the Supply Chain leadership team to evaluate approaches and tools to support and create business cases and investment proposals
  • Challenges investment decisions against organizational requirements using knowledge of the internal business and external market factors
  • Deliver process for on-going review and management of new capital and existing assets, understanding best practice and adopting/adapting to ensure objectives are met
  • Provide strategic commercial support to business leaders to enable the delivery of strategic transformation projects in Supply Chain, for example supply network optimization
  • Build partnerships and effective relationships with key stakeholders (Supply Chain & Operations, Procurement, Finance)
  • Support business priorities by delivering insight and value in support of performance utilising a deep understanding of financial and commercial drivers; provide advice on the business implications of cost, pricing an supply chain decision making
  • Provide meaningful financial insights and quality data analysis to the Supply Chain Director ANZ to inform and influence business decisions and outcomes
  • Influence and drive the right behaviours and accountability and look for continuous improvement of systems and process to deliver business results
  • Manage outcomes through cross functional teams
  • Influence and drive accountability, transparency and be the change agent
  
The Candidate
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated strategy or finance experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment, with particular focus in Supply Chain finance business partnering
  • Team leadership, particularly during times of change, achievement and outcome focused
  • Strong credible customer relationships to deliver business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of the market and regulatory environment and ability to utilise customer and competitor strengths and limitation to influence business decisions
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to build commercial awareness and understanding
  • Builds and maintains strong and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, understanding the objectives of all parties and identifying the associated risks and opportunities
  • Strong influencing capability - anticipates issues in advance and manages conflict; identifies and leverages sources and strengths of power to drive mutually beneficial outcomes constructively challenges decisions leveraging data insights
  • A strong desire to be proactively involved and influence cross-functionally within the company
