Role:
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on and influential role within a high-performing finance team. It offers the perfect blend of structure and autonomy. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for multiple retail sites.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and reconciliations of key accounts.
  • Coordinate and prepare statutory accounts in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor inventory accounting, including stock valuations, write-offs, and reconciliations.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights on store performance, cost trends, and profitability.
  • Identify and drive improvements in accounting and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with store managers, commercial teams, and senior management to provide financial insights for operational decisions.
  • Support compliance with GST, PAYG, FBT and Income Tax Returns
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior finance staff or accountants.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
What You’ll Bring:
  • CA/CPA qualified with a strong foundation in financial accounting
  • Experience gained in a large private or mid-sized corporate environment
  • Proven technical skills, attention to detail, and commercial acumen
  • A proactive communicator who enjoys driving improvement and efficiency
