We are partnering with a global services organisation with a strong national footprint and the backing of a large, internationally operated parent company. This is a newly created opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting across tax, consolidations, and employee benefits accounting. You will act as a hands-on technical expert while collaborating closely with stakeholders across operations and group finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports for multiple entities
 - Managing employee benefits accounting, including annual and long service leave accruals
 - Overseeing consolidations and supporting month-end and year-end close processes
 - Managing tax compliance obligations, including income tax, BAS, and payroll tax
 - Providing technical accounting support during acquisitions
 - Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting
 - Contributing to system and process improvements
 
Your Profile
- You are ideally CA/CPA qualified with at least 6 years of Accounting experience in a similar role
 - Ideally started your career in a Big 4 or mid-tier chartered accounting firm
 - Proven experience in financial reporting within a multi-entity or complex corporate environment
 - Strong knowledge of employee benefits accounting (annual leave, long service leave, etc.)
 - Sound understanding of consolidations and tax compliance (income tax, BAS, payroll tax)
 - You are driven, motivated, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
 - Hands-on approach and willingness to manage detail while supporting broader business initiatives
