The Role
Working for this tier one organisation as the Senior Financial Accountant, your role will see you act as key partner within the finance team and support the Group Financial Controller.
You will collaborate with senior leaders and operational stakeholders. This role is a Fixed-Term contract role for 6 months, with a potential view to extend.
Your duties will include:
- Perform day to day financial group reporting for the corporate finance team.
- General journals, bank reconciliations,
- Manage all financial aspects for various business units.
- Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations and financial statements..
- Assist in maintaining financial and cash flow forecast updates to ensure sufficient cash requirement.
- Preparation of the quarterly BAS/IAS and annual FBT return.
- Support the Group Financial Controller and business in adhoc queries, projects and other related duties as required.
- Prepare Income Tax & FBT returns
- Liaise with the external accountants on financial reporting and auditing
- Assisting the finance and admin team with training and support where required.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations, systems, and reporting efficiency; and
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Your Profile
You will be a fully CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial. Key skills include:
- Able to commence this Assignment ASAP.
- Experience in a large, complex environment - particularly high pace and high volume. resources experience is highly desired and will be favored.
- Proven experience as a Senior Financial Accountant in a similar role.
- Previous Audit & Advisory experience is highly desired.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data from multiple sources and provide strategic insights.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills needed to develop junior accounting staff.
