Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of Hire Controllers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
    • Coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient equipment allocation and optimal utilization.
  2. Customer Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and providing expert advice on equipment solutions.
    • Resolve customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  3. Equipment Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and readiness of the hire fleet, ensuring equipment is in top condition for rental.
    • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
  4. Logistics Coordination:
    • Manage the logistics of equipment transport, coordinating deliveries and collections to meet customer timelines.
    • Optimize transport routes and schedules for cost-effectiveness.
  5. Inventory Control:
    • Implement and maintain accurate inventory management practices, conducting regular stock checks and audits.
    • Collaborate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels based on demand forecasts.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a secure working environment for staff and customers.
  7. Problem Solving:
    • Address and resolve issues related to equipment availability, logistics, and customer satisfaction.
    • Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions to enhance overall service delivery.

  • Up to $110,000 plus super 
  1. Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment rental or a related field.
    • Previous leadership role in a similar setting is essential.
  2. Customer Focus:
    • Proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Ability to understand and fulfill customer needs.
  3. Logistics and Inventory:
    • Proficient in coordinating logistics for equipment transport.
    • Experience in implementing effective inventory management practices.
  4. Technology Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with hire management systems.
    • Adaptability to new technologies.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry compliance.
    • Previous experience enforcing safety protocols.
