About the role:

In this newly created Senior HR Advisor role, you will consult with the Executive team, and be responsible for the creation and development of the HR function of this dynamic and successful organisation. This is a hands-on role where you will implement processes and procedures to achieve business objectives, support management with all employee relations matters, facilitate training and development activities for the wider businesses and work strategically with the Executive team to encourage employee engagement and a high-performance culture.  This business offers a great company culture, where each employees holistic well-being is considered as paramount to the success of the business, and a key focus for them is to hire a passionate HR professional whose ideas will further enhance the business culture. Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide direction and be responsible for the creation and development of a robust and ‘best practice’ HR record system
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of policies, procedures and systems to achieve HR objectives
  • Provide advice, coaching and support to business leaders with regards to employee relation matters including performance management and disciplinary action
  • Facilitate relevant training and development activities
  • Assist in conducting workplace investigations in accordance with the businesses policies and procedures
  • Administer and prepare employee contracts and relevant paperwork
  • Provide detailed reports on the update of HR matters to relevant business leaders
  • Assist business leaders in the development and implementation of strategies that encourage and promote employee engagement and a high performing culture.
Key  criteria:
  • At least five (5) years experience in a HR Generalist position
  • Tertiary qualification in HR Management or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working on various HR projects that involve implementing processes and procedures across a business
  • Strong communication skills and experience guiding line managers through HR matters
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver multiple outcomes within tight time frames and manage different priorities
