The Position & Organisation
  
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be the central point of contact for all people & culture related topics to managers and employees in the Western Australia business. Through trusted partnering with your portfolios, you will take ownership of HR projects, develop expert HR solutions, and execute plans that reflect a high standard of HR work and output. 

Our client is a global mining organisation and pioneers technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods. The company is global, with 100,000+ employees and presence in over 50 countries, offering rich career development and internal progression and opportunities to their employees. This role will offer three days in the office and two from home, being mostly head office based Monday to Friday. 
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Enable both short-term and long-term strategy of local stakeholders in line with corporate policies and mission to human resources, people and culture, organisational development, strategic initiatives, and strategic workforce planning;
  • Consult around HR policies, procedures, compensation & benefits, and actively identify gaps to implement change necessary to cover risks;
  • Implement change projects together with management stakeholder groups and external experts;
  • Consult and guide the organisation through times of significant change including digital transformation, supporting organisational development;
  • Lead employment relations through managing grievances and case management. 
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of effective partnering relationships within a HR Business Partner position - you will have cross-functional experience and have gained insight into different departments and functions through projects & assignments;
  • Ability to analyse and understand HR analytics/metrics to help support the improvement of business activities;   
  • Proven experience in the implementation and improvement of people processes;
  • Established HR generalist skills in a mining, mining services, or heavy industry organisation combined with tertiary qualifications in human resources, employment relations, industrial relations or related business discipline.
