With a focus on innovation and growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting newly created role, whereby you can take the next step in your career and act as the 2IC to the Payroll Manager to assist with overseeing a small team and proficient functioning of the national payroll function.
  
Position Description:
With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Payroll professional to join their team. Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager, your daily tasks will include:
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of a weekly payroll
  • Assisting in effectively leading a close knit payroll team
  • Interpreting all relevant EBAs and awards
  • PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments
  • Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
  • Assisting the team to work together to achieve common goals to a high standard
  • Partnering with the leadership team to drive process improvements
  • Providing high quality customer service through accurate information and support to employee and stakeholder enquires
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with reports, reconciliations and all payroll compliance duties

Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have previous proven extensive payroll experience and ability to operate as an effective leader. The role is suited to attract high calibre candidates, who are seeking future growth and development. They will also have the following attributes:

  • Well developed verbal & written communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret multiple EBAs and awards
