You will be responsible for building and expanding functionality within FME, focusing on processing DWG files, performing spatial calculations, and implementing validations. The role also involves ongoing support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of various FME workbenches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance FME functionality to read DWG files and perform spatial calculations
- Provide ongoing support, including fixing issues and making improvements to FME workbenches
- Assist in the development and maintenance of DPL solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders to design and implement enterprise GIS solutions
- Diagnose and correct programming, infrastructure, and configuration errors
- Support spatial database maintenance and administration
- Ensure best-practice release management processes
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers
- Experience with FME (essential)
- Strong understanding of spatial concepts (geometries, coordinate systems, trigonometry)
- Knowledge of surveying principles (bearings, distances, closures, survey marks)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/BricsCAD and DWG file structures
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for validation report development
- (Bonus) Experience with BricsCAD LISP for CAD tools and survey image production
