The company is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to optimise processes and drive strategic improvements within their dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
About the role:
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will manage a team of 7 direct and approx 24 indirect staff and deliver all necessary activities including planning and scheduling, procurement and raw material purchases, import and export, operational logistics, and warehouse management. The role will need a strong focus on continuous improvement to deliver supply chain business initiatives and achieve ‘best cost’ whilst supporting current and future business growth is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Identify and address areas for process enhancement, utilizing data and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to align supply chain activities with organizational goals and address any issues promptly.
- Manage inventory levels to balance supply with demand, reducing excess and avoiding shortages.
- Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure business continuity.
- Proven experience in supply chain management or a related field, with a track record of success in optimizing processes.
- Ideally experience within an FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain management tools and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Experience with inventory management and supplier negotiation is a plus.
