History of Sharp & Carter
Tim Sharp and Stephen Carter established Sharp & Carter. Stephen worked for almost ten years with Michael Page and both were Australia's biggest billers for Michael Page Finance across different years.
After Tim moved to Robert Half and Stephen into a different discipline within Page, they thought that they could do it better than the bigger listed recruiters and decided to start their own business.
Sharp & Carter began in a two by four metre serviced office in Melbourne East. They worked from trestle tables and used a shared spreadsheet which had been build by one of Stephen's friends that managed their clients' and candidates' information, and focused purely on the Accounting & Finance market.
Anthony Holdstock and Christian Keogh joined the Sharp & Carter business as partners, replacing Tim Sharp. Anthony spent four very successful years at Michael Page and was the fastest promoted manager in Michael Page history. Christian Keogh spent ten years at Michael Page working in London, Wheelers Hill, Perth and Melbourne. Christian was Michael Page Australia's best consultant in 2007 and managed the most successful team in 2007.
