This is an exciting opening for a proactive Payroll Officer to join an outstanding People and Culture team. Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your role will include but not be limited to: Coordinating payroll for a sizeable workforce, working collaboratively within the payroll team Handling onboarding paperwork for new hires and processing exit documentation for departing employees Managing salary increases, and assisting with end-of-month and year-end payroll activities Responding promptly and courteously to all payroll inquiries from across the organisation Performing daily administrative tasks such as filing, preparing starter packs, creating employee folders, collecting and reimbursing police checks Ideal Candidate Proven experience with a large payroll system such as SAP, PayGlobal, ADP, iChris Exceptional attention to detail—ensuring accuracy in every calculation and task Strong time management and organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities with ease Excellent verbal and written communication—clear, professional, and responsive Ability to thrive under deadlines in a collaborative team environment What's on Offer Flexible work arrangement: 2 days in the city office, 3 days from home A supportive company culture that genuinely prioritises employee well‑being Convenient city-based location, with excellent access to public transport Exposure to a high-performing team and opportunities to sharpen your payroll and administration skills To discuss the role further, please contact Daniel at dclose@sharpandcarter.com.au
