About the Role: You will work closely with our Lead Financial Business Partner (FBP) and partner with teams across Financial Services, Health, and Client divisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on financial analysis, reporting, and providing the numbers that help drive business decisions. While you will engage with business managers, this is more of a “grunt work” FP&A role - delivering solid financial insights and support to the business. Management Accountant – Professional Services Location: CBDSalary: $130,000 + Super We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant / Financial Accountant to join a growing professional services firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical accounting skills, a commercial mindset, and a passion for delivering insights that support business decisions. Key Responsibilities:       Prepare monthly payments and ensure timely processing. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records. Analyse and interpret financial results, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Prepare annual Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and other statutory reporting as required. Monitor and report cashflow, providing insight to management. Support client reporting, ensuring clear and accurate financial information. Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing analysis to guide business planning. About You:          4+ years’ experience in a similar management accounting or senior accounting role, ideally in professional services. Strong understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines. Excellent communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Proactive and solution-focused, with a commercial mindset. The successful applicant:       Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. You will have previous experience in a Big 4 audit or Mid Tier firm. You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proven ability to work under strict deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities.
