An established and rapidly growing SaaS business have exclusively partnered with us to recruit a high-caliber Engineering Manager to join their leadership team. This business operates in a niche but highly scalable B2B space, delivering impactful software to customers operating in industries such as construction, inventory management, and scientific/engineering domains.

As Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the technical vision, product delivery, and team leadership. You'll drive the end-to-end delivery of the product roadmap while scaling and mentoring a passionate team of developers.
The ideal person for this role will be someone who has a strong background in .Net development and is looking to stay on the tools while having a direct influence on strategy.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience leading a software engineering team (5+ heads).
  • Strong background in .NET, C#, MySQL, React and cloud-based environments (AWS or similar).
  • A technical leader who is also a people leader—able to build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial outcomes through fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
  • Experience with data migration, machine learning, or domain knowledge in construction/scientific fields is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across the business, from product to marketing to customer success.
  • Agile mindset with deep understanding of the full SDLC and modern software architecture (monolith vs microservices, CI/CD, etc).
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership - Shape and drive the engineering strategy to align with business objectives; deliver scalable, cost-effective, and high-availability solutions.
  • Product Ownership - Oversee the technical delivery of the product roadmap; collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer-centric outcomes.
  • Team Management - Lead and grow a team of software developers and product owners; hire, mentor, and embed high standards across the group.
  • Software Delivery - Remain hands-on in the code where needed; champion best practices in testing, deployment, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Continuous Improvement - Own escalations, identify new product opportunities, and contribute to process refinement across agile ceremonies.
  • Risk & Business Continuity - Ensure risk frameworks and continuity plans within your remit are current and actively managed.
