Reporting to and working in partnership with the CEO and the wider ELT, you will play a key role in executing and delivering on the strategic, commercial, operational and financial objectives of the business, and driving growth and profitability.
As the key partner to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving the commercial and operational performance of the business. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the ongoing direction of the business, drive commercial financial strategy and achievement of revenue and profit targets both in the short and long term. You will also be responsible for providing sound advice and assistance to the wider ELT/SLT and operational managers to manage costs and drive process improvement.
Skills and Experience
You are CA/CPA qualified, have compiled an impressive track record and reputation as a high achieving financial and strategic leader in an entrepreneurial environment. You have highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, along with proven cross functional team experience driving performance within a mid-sized or large business (Retail sector experience is desirable but not essential). You are agile and able to see the big picture, while at the same time being very hands on with financial analysis and able to maintain a strong attention to detail. Crucially, you are a natural leader with a strong depth of experience in managing teams, and have the confidence and credibility to build relationships, engage effectively with, and influence senior executives, operational stakeholders and staff.
