Reporting to the APAC HR Vice President and partnering with the local Site Manager, the HR Manager will provide full HR support for approximately 100 employees across manufacturing, distribution and support functions.
You will manage a variety of HR activities including payroll, employee relations, recruitment, training, and compliance — with the opportunity to contribute to regional projects and process improvements.
This role is based in Clovelly Park, Adelaide and offers a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls for 100 employees.
- Oversee HR reporting and compliance including payroll tax, workers’ compensation, and gender equality reporting.
- Partner with managers on recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
- Support workplace negotiations and enterprise bargaining.
- Coordinate training and development programs, including compliance and leadership training.
- Roll out regional HR policies and initiatives in collaboration with the APAC HR team.
- Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture through effective coaching and communication.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist or HR leadership experience.
- Strong payroll experience, ideally within a manufacturing or blue-collar environment.
- Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR compliance.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
