This company has established themselves as an industry leader in the Australian market in the FMCG space. They are in need of a Maintenance Manager to look after the existing maintenance crew at their mixing site in Southern Sydney located conveniently off the M5 corridor.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations for a close-knit 24/5 high-volume food manufacturing site, ensuring plant reliability and uptime.
- Use MEX CMMS data to analyse and improve existing preventative maintenance structures.
- Lead root cause investigations and drive long-term fixes to reduce recurring downtime.
- Plan and deliver minor capital works — from business case through to implementation.
- Coach, develop and empower a team of experienced tradespeople through a mix of steady-state operations and peak season ramp-ups.
- Report maintenance performance metrics regularly and contribute to site-wide improvement initiatives.
- Play a key role in continuous improvement — using data, not just gut feel, to guide decisions.
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in engineering.
- Strong leadership & people management - lead by example, empower your team and drive their success!
- Proven track record in effective management and motivation of a maintenance team.
- Experience in a fast moving, high volume food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on with CMMS.
- Someone who leads from the floor, not just the office.
