Our client is a growing and highly recognisable brand, within a fun and exciting industry. Located at their Melbourne head office in the city, this senior role is responsible for overseeing the payroll function and taking ownership over a number of key projects around process automation and improvement.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the HR Shared Services Manager, your daily tasks will include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of five talented Payroll Officers
- Managing an end-to-end payroll of 4000 staff
- Month/year end closing
- Implementing payroll projects and identifying process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with payroll related legislation
- Upholding high customer service standards and protocols across the business
- Partner and develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following attributes:
- Experience working with a large scale business within payroll
- Previous experience using a large ERP system
- End to end payroll knowledge, including payroll reconciliations, tax and award knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Well-organized, positive, pro-active and able to work in a team environment
