Sharp and Carter Technology Brisbane are working with a Queensland State Government department to source a Senior Cloud Engineer, This department ensures that a critical function of Queensland infrastructure is accessible and user friendly for all it's customers.
The Role
This role will ensure that existing cloud based solutions are supported and managed. You will Identify, analyse, record and manage change in accordance with established protocols. You will also provide skills and experience to current on-pre, to AWS migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in AWS cloud architecture, Operations, and system administration in large complex environments.
- Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Sceptre, Experience with automation and scripting tools (Puppet, Shell, PowerShell, Python)
- Knowledge of Cloud environment security best practices.
- High level of documentation skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously and cohesively in a team-based environment
- AWS Associate or Professional level certifications highly regarded.
- Azure skills a desirable addition.
- Linux skills and experience desirable
- Other duties as required.
- The role may have quarterly Key Performance Indicators to maintain.
- Current and varied experience across public and private sector is highly desirable.
