Join a central ICT team delivering outcomes across multiple Queensland Government agencies. Lead a portfolio of nine concurrent initiatives that lift service visibility, architecture maturity, recovery readiness and strategic alignment. Key responsibilities
- Maintain a master view of all initiatives with current plans, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies
- Build a consolidated portfolio schedule and a clear reporting cadence for governance forums
- Coordinate market engagement across RFI and RFP stages, vendor due diligence, fixed price proposals, onboarding, and performance tracking
- Produce concise status reports, dashboards, budget tracking, and papers for finance and steering groups
- Work with sponsors and project leads to prioritise, sequence, and unblock delivery, escalating early where appropriate
- Keep stakeholders across multiple agencies aligned, simplifying complex information for executive audiences
- Ensure artefacts are fit for purpose, method neutral, and outcome focused using Prince2, PMBOK, or Agile practices as appropriate
- Drive readiness to commence implementation phases within fiscal timelines
- Executive communication framework for incidents, outages, and operating changes with templates, rules, and KPIs
- Service definition and visibility including a customer facing service catalogue, mandatory and optional offerings, and alignment to TBM cost models
- Digital landscape visibility that maps current and future state capabilities, platforms, and transition roadmaps
- Configuration Management Database implementation integrated with ITSM, with governance, training, and reporting
- Backup and recovery uplift across agencies including prioritised recovery plans, testing cycles, and visibility of status
- Strategic alignment framework that links agency digital strategies with shared roadmaps and investment planning
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects or a small portfolio within ICT or business transformation
- Experience in shared services or cross agency programs in the public sector
- Strong planning, scheduling, and dependency management in complex environments
- Vendor coordination experience across procurement stages and delivery oversight
- Governance reporting expertise covering risks, issues, finances, benefits, and decision logs
- Senior stakeholder management with the ability to brief executives concisely and negotiate priorities
- Practical application of Prince2, PMBOK, and Agile in an outcome focused manner
- High proficiency with core tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and contemporary reporting dashboards
