Due to it's sustained growth, the organisation is currently undergoing a transformation journey, and now is the time to be a part of something big and join a leader in energy distribution in a newly created role Strategy Analyst position

The Position
As the Strategy Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing and assessing strategic growth opportunities, market trends and potential acquisitions. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will support decision making by providing comprehensive research, market insights and financial analysis to evaluate new opportunities.

As part of your role, you will be involved in the following:
  • Provide analytical support and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research;
  • Design and build financial models such as a Corporate 5 year model;
  • Establishing benchmarks and measuring projects against strategic initiatives;
  • In-depth financial due diligence where required;
  • Support the development of business cases;  
  • Manage own time to deliver on and contribute to work priorities that support the delivery of various projects;
  • Work with Business stakeholders to revamp reporting solutions and set metrics to enable to the business to be held accountable to;
  • Develop a knowledge of various workstreams and work flexibly across priorities as required to deliver key outcomes;
  • Assist with development of financial forecasts and scenarios for the Retail business
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure outcomes are achieved through collaboration and are aligned with the business’ expected outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile

You will ideally have 5-7 years' experience, preferably from a top tier consulting firm or in house strategy team. You will have a strong analytical expertise who demonstrates strong capabilities in complex problem-solving, using advanced analytical tools and techniques. Your ability to manage multiple projects and teams, along with collaborating cross-functional relationships will be crucial to your success. Lastly, you will be a strong and confident communicator who is able to deliver board-level presentations and reports for senior stakeholders.
