Position Overview:
Due to continued growth, a great opportunity presents for a Transport Manager, to manage the daily FCL & LCL transport functions, including booking fleet maintenance, and maintaining compliance.

Key to the success of this role will be you ability to effectively coach/mentor the day, afternoon & night shift fleet controllers, ensuring a solid fleet control team that continually strives for a cost-efficient operation.
 
You will, facilitate in supporting 3 x day shift fleet controllers plus 1 x afternoon & 1 x night shift fleet controller. 4 x Reach Stacker drivers across 24h period. You will also support & direct planning for best company outcomes, the delivery of quality customer outcomes in the provision of transport and logistical services whilst ensuring the company legislative requirements are met within your area of responsibility. 
 
Additional to this, you will lead & direct internal Mass Management with a pool of drivers whilst maintaining monthly reporting.
Lead & direct Standard Fatigue management, coach/mentor drivers to complete daily run sheets in accordance with legislation. 
Lead & direct all heavy boxes via Skel (chaser) for compliance – out side local West suburb deliveries.
Lead & direct Haz (packaged DG) transport with relevant drivers in accordance with state legislation.
 
The key consideration of this role is to learn, & understand the Company culture & processes across stakeholders and earn a trusting relationship with direct reports for a seamless operation, minimising, as far as is practicable, any disruption or risk and while complying with all prevailing safety legislation and adhering to best practice safety systems of work.

To be successful, you will have:
- strong knowledge and experience of wharf cartage transport operations. You may be a Senior Fleet Controller that has hit a ceiling in your current business, and are now seeking a step up with more responsibility. You may also already be a Transport Manager within the space, that is now seeking a chance to join a business with a great culture and a long term road map to support your career growth.
