Are you a seasoned Workplace Relations professional seeking a challenging and influential role? We are looking for a passionate and strategic Workplace Relations Partner to join a major Australian retailer. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, accurate, and strategic advice and guidance to stakeholders on a wide range of workplace relations matters, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end enterprise bargaining process, from planning and negotiation to lodgement and implementation, ensuring agreements align with business objectives and uphold company values.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate organisational risks related to employment and workplace practices, developing innovative solutions to address emerging challenges.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with unions, employee representatives, and key business stakeholders, fostering open communication and mutual understanding.
  • Provide expert interpretation and application of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and company policies, ensuring consistent and compliant practices across the organisation.
  • Drive change management and workforce reform initiatives, providing strategic guidance and support to business units.
  • Partner with internal departments and business units to proactively identify, plan for, and manage industrial issues and transactions that impact the business.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Employment Relations, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial relations or human resource management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise bargaining negotiations and effectively managing relationships with unions and regulatory bodies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, industrial instruments, and employee relations issues.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive positive outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective industrial relations strategies that align with business goals.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of how workplace relations can impact financial drivers and organisational productivity.
