$120,000 + super | 12 month Fixed term contract Richmond location - 3 days WFH Well known organisation with a large, complex payroll environment We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Systems Team Lead to join a well-known, fast-growing organisation with operations across Australia. This 12-month fixed term contract will see you leading a dedicated payroll systems team while overseeing the performance, optimisation, and stability of payroll systems in a high-volume environment. Based in Richmond, the role offers a hybrid model with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. The Opportunity In this role, you’ll take ownership of the payroll systems function, leading a team to ensure system reliability, support payroll delivery, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, resolving critical system issues, and supporting ongoing system optimisation and transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of payroll systems specialists, providing coaching, support, and performance oversight Oversee day-to-day payroll systems operations, ensuring system stability and timely resolution of issues Act as the escalation point for complex system issues impacting payroll processing and pay close Work across payroll and workforce systems, ensuring they are configured and operating effectively Support system optimisation initiatives and contribute to ongoing transformation activities Partner closely with Payroll, HR, IT, and external vendors to resolve issues and improve processes Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks or inefficiencies Support system testing, upgrades, and implementation activities Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements, automation, and best practice system use About You Proven experience in a payroll systems leadership role with direct people management responsibility Strong hands-on experience with payroll systems, ideally PayGlobal Strong understanding of payroll processes and system dependencies in high-volume environments Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or transitions Highly developed problem-solving skills with the ability to manage time-critical system issues Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders What’s on Offer $120,000 + super 12-month fixed term contract.
